The idea
Finally take off the disposable glove
The founder of ElephantSkin - Raphael Reifeltshammer from Salzburg - has been working extensively on functional textile treatments to replace the disposable rubber glove. "I was moved by the many people who wore plastic gloves or even gardening gloves from the hardware store at the start of the pandemic to go shopping, on public transport or even to the gyms," explains Raphael Reifeltshammer.

Reduce waste
Reduce transmission of viruses
"We know that our hand (as well as plastic gloves) surfaces are the perfect breeding ground and carrier of viruses and bacteria. During Corona, society has developed an awareness of this. Our treated glove has the ability to greatly prevent viral and bacterial growth (such as the current Corona viruses) and bacteria on its surface and thus efficiently limit transmission. With our washable and reusable gloves made of organic cotton, the wearer avoids a huge waste mountain of plastic gloves", says Raphael Reifeltshammer.
New hygiene standards
Stylish revival
"Our innovative "ElephantSkin" products will remain relevant even after Corona, hygiene standards are just being completely redefined - in addition, the sensitivity of many people is increasing enormously. Fashionable gloves, by the way, have been worn for decades, it's time for a little rethink and revive the glove in style with innovative features."
